Unleash your inner Glamazon!
It’s been almost twenty – YES! TWENTY! – years since Jlo’s Versace Grammy Awards dress invented and broke the internet at the same time on February 23rd, 2000 (or at least Google Images).
I remember that moment like if it was yesterday… Jennifer arriving on that red carpet and my TV at home looked like a nightclub, flashes all over and everybody was screaming her name to get the perfect shot. To me this particular moment meant a lot of things back then: the birth of the naked dress, female empowerment, the notion of not being afraid to take risks based on gender as well as the solidification of Jlo as a true fashion icon.
Despite she was not the first women to wear it on a red carpet (see Geri Halliwell at the NRJ Music Awards’s red carpet on January 22, 2000 as well as Donatella herself for the MET Gala 1999), SHE was the one that made it a statement and the one that used the power of this dress to become news.
For that reason today, I wanted to pay homage to Jlo’s moment and showcase all the latest pieces from Versace’s Spring 2020 Collection which also features her within the Ad Campaign. The Jungle Print is present in a myriad of pieces ranging from pins, to shoes, dresses, leggings, sandals, sneakers, jewelry, SLG’s, commercials adaptations of the dress as well as the reinvented version of the original one.

As you can see, jungle prints, palm trees and everything in Biscay (15-5718 TCX) and Chive (19-0323 TCX) Green are a must. The good thing about this jungle capsule collection is that you can do an all-over look or simply pick your favorite piece and pair it with subtle neutrals to create a magnificent look. Do you dig this perennial trend?
Have an amazing Tuesday Hauters!
